Place Pigalle, in the center of Paris. Between a sex-shop and an impasse, one can find the small café-concert "Les Noctambules", opened in 1899.
The star of the place : Pierre Carré, 70 years old sings every night the popular French songs of Frehel, Charles Trenet, Henri Salvador, Charles Aznavour and makes the audience singing along with him.
The documentary takes us in this singular place where festivity, humour, songs and dances are a way of escaping from boredom and sadness, a place where the old popular Paris is still alive.
